Both the phones were launched on July 23 and are quite similar in appearance. 1. Biggest difference in display, bigger screen in Ultra
Both smartphones have AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, but there is a big difference in screen size. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 6.5 inch cover display and 8 inch inner display. Whereas Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 5.5 inch cover display and 7.6 inch inner display. Both smartphones have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. Also, the option of 256 GB and 512 GB storage is available with 12 GB RAM, while the option of 1 TB storage is available with 16 GB RAM. However there is a difference in the battery. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, while Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 4,800mAh battery. Both phones support 45 watt wired and 20 watt wireless charging.
4. Design and size are also different
Both the phones come with premium design and have protection like IP48 rating, Advanced Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. However, the design of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is larger and its weight is 215 grams. Whereas the weight of Galaxy Z Fold 8 is 201 grams, which means it is a little light. If you like compact phones then Fold 8 may be a better option, while for those who want a larger screen, Ultra will be more attractive.
5. What is the price difference in India?
The starting price of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in the Indian market has been kept at Rs 1,99,999 (12 GB + 256 GB). Its 12 GB + 512 GB variant will be priced at Rs 2,19,999, while the 16 GB + 1 TB model will be priced at Rs 2,59,999.
Whereas the starting price of Galaxy Z Fold 8 is Rs 1,79,999 (12 GB + 256 GB). Its 12 GB + 512 GB variant will be available for Rs 1,99,999 and 16 GB + 1 TB model for Rs 2,39,999. That means there is a difference of about Rs 20,000 between the same storage variants of both the phones.
