Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Galaxy Z Fold 8: Samsung has introduced Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8 smartphones in India in its new foldable series. Both the phones were launched on July 23 and are quite similar in appearance. Same processor is available in both the phones, but there are many big differences in terms of display, camera, battery, size and price. If you are thinking of buying a new premium foldable phone, then it is important to understand the difference between these two models. Know the 5 big differences here.

1. Biggest difference in display, bigger screen in Ultra

Both smartphones have AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, but there is a big difference in screen size. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 6.5 inch cover display and 8 inch inner display. Whereas Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 5.5 inch cover display and 7.6 inch inner display. Both phones come with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and anti-reflective displays, but due to the larger screen, the Ultra can provide a better experience for multitasking and watching content.

2. Ultra has the upper hand in camera

If we talk about the camera, the biggest difference is seen here. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide and 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Apart from this, 10-10 megapixel selfie cameras are provided on the cover screen and inner screen. On the other hand, Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 50 megapixel main camera, 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and 10 megapixel front camera. Both phones support 8K video recording, but in terms of camera hardware, the Ultra seems more powerful.

3. Same processor, but difference in battery

Both smartphones have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. Also, the option of 256 GB and 512 GB storage is available with 12 GB RAM, while the option of 1 TB storage is available with 16 GB RAM. However there is a difference in the battery. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, while Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 4,800mAh battery. Both phones support 45 watt wired and 20 watt wireless charging.

4. Design and size are also different

Both the phones come with premium design and have protection like IP48 rating, Advanced Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. However, the design of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is larger and its weight is 215 grams. Whereas the weight of Galaxy Z Fold 8 is 201 grams, which means it is a little light. If you like compact phones then Fold 8 may be a better option, while for those who want a larger screen, Ultra will be more attractive.

5. What is the price difference in India?

The starting price of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in the Indian market has been kept at Rs 1,99,999 (12 GB + 256 GB). Its 12 GB + 512 GB variant will be priced at Rs 2,19,999, while the 16 GB + 1 TB model will be priced at Rs 2,59,999.
