Rupali Ganguly On Neet Protest: The way students were beaten during the Parliament march on 20th July has now become a national issue. Not only common people but even celebrities are expressing their opinion on this and are criticizing the police administration and the government. Meanwhile, now TV actress and Anupama fame Rupali Ganguly has also reacted. Rupali has also joined BJP in 2024. On the student movement, the actress has said that it has been written in the media that the demand of students for justice is completely justified.

But violence and damage to public property in the name of movement is not right. Rupali believes that if the student movement is used for political or anti-national agenda, then the most harmed are those students who are raising their voice for their rights.

Rupali’s statement on student movement

Rupali Ganguly shared a long post on social media saying that those who take law into their hands, damage public property and attack police cannot be called students. According to him, such incidents weaken any legitimate movement.

He said that the demand of students against paper leak is completely right. Students should get fair examination system, accountability and such strong arrangements so that such incidents do not happen again in future. He also said that in the recent paper leak cases, the government and investigating agencies have started investigation, many people have been arrested and legal action is also being taken.

Those who take the law into their own hands, vandalize public property, and attack the police cannot be called students. Such actions only weaken a legitimate cause.

Rupali further wrote that the government has also said that it will take steps to strengthen the examination system and prevent paper leaks in future. But when peaceful protests are replaced by violence, the real demands of the students are left behind. He said that if political or anti-national elements use the student movement for their own benefit, then the students suffer the most. According to him, the fight should be for transparency, accountability and improvement in the education system, and not for violence and sabotage.

Rupali made this appeal to the students

Rupali Ganguly appealed to the students and citizens to protest peacefully, remain united and not allow anyone to take political or ideological advantage of their sentiments. He said that democratic and peaceful movement is the strongest way to bring change.
