Meta has introduced new agentic features for its AI assistant, which will be able to complete multi-step tasks on behalf of users. The company said that these features are based on the Muse Spark 1.1 model and are currently being rolled out in select countries. With their help, doing research, making presentations and getting updates on time will become easier than before. These features will also be made available on WhatsApp in the coming weeks.
Now Meta AI will also do multi step tasks
According to Meta, after the new agentic features, Meta AI will not be limited to just answering questions, but will also be able to complete multi-step tasks on behalf of users. The company said in its blog that now “Meta AI is starting to work on your behalf.” Users will be able to assign tasks to AI instead of giving the same instructions again and again. Currently, this feature is being made available on Meta AI app and Meta.AI in select markets, while its support is also expected to be available on WhatsApp in the coming weeks.
Will also prepare daily updates, research and presentation
After the new update, users will also be able to get updates from Meta AI on daily or scheduled basis. It can provide daily briefings based on a calendar, provide information on schedule conflicts, and send summaries at scheduled times. Apart from this, users can also set weekly meal plans, information about new sneaker launches or regular updates on a particular topic. For research, Meta AI can prepare a summary by collecting information from the web, research papers and creators and communities present on the Meta platform.
From reports to presentations, everything is in one place
Meta said that users will also be able to convert the information received from AI directly into presentation slides. If the user wants to change the focus, tone or structure while the report or presentation is being prepared, they can make changes by giving instructions in real time. According to the company, all the files like AI generated reports, presentations, mood boards and training plans will be saved in one place, so that they can be viewed or shared later. With this, users will be able to use Meta AI for general conversations, shopping suggestions and private chats in incognito mode as before.
