
Khajuraho Airport of Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position among the airports across the country. Whereas Raja Bhoj Airport of the capital Bhopal has been in third place. This ranking has been given in the 2026 National Customer Satisfaction Survey of Airports Authority of India (AAI). According to an official, this ranking has been given in the 2026 National Customer Satisfaction Index of Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Khajuraho Airport Director Santosh Singh said that both the airports reaching the top position in terms of passenger facilities, cleanliness, security and quality of service is a big achievement for Madhya Pradesh. He said that this achievement was attributed to the hard work of the entire team, trust of passengers and continuous efforts to provide better services.
To provide world-class facilities for passengers
The director said that the aim of the airport management is to provide world-class facilities to the passengers and continuously improve the quality of service in the future. He said that AAI’s ranking was based on feedback received from passengers at airports across the country. He said the survey evaluated airports on several important parameters, including check-in process, security checks, cleanliness of the terminal, staff behaviour, waiting time, food and drinks, information system and overall passenger experience.
Santosh Singh said that this achievement of Khajuraho Airport is very important for tourism. He said that with the availability of better air facilities and good services for the Indian and foreign tourists coming to Khajuraho, famous for its world famous temples, tourism in this area is expected to gain new momentum.
The airport is spread over 590 acres
