NEET movement is over, what will CJP do now? Know future plan

July 26, 2026 by Uma Shankar

The 36-day-long agitation of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) may have ended on Saturday with the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, but people are curious as to what will be the next step of the CJP? Will CJP again join the movement on some other issue or launch a political party? Although CJP leaders are not commenting directly on this at present, they are definitely giving hints.

Cockroach Janata Party A picture of founder Abhijeet Deepke has been shared from the Twitter handle of the company, in which it has been said that he is fighting typhoid. Abhijeet Deepke had complained of fever during the Jantar Mantar protest. Later, after investigation, typhoid was confirmed.

Earlier, Abhijeet Deepke released a video and thanked all those people who had made the big victory of the youth possible. He also thanked all the critics who helped him improve, and finally fulfilled the first campaign promise of Cockroach Janata Party.

Just the first chapter of a much bigger mission

On further planning, the leaders of the organization say that the movement is not over yet. From taking their campaign to the grassroots level to pushing for education reforms, CJP leaders say these protests are just the first chapter of a much bigger mission.

Calling off the nationwide agitation on Saturday after the Center accepted one of its main demands, CJP leaders said that Pradhan’s resignation is not the destination but the beginning of a long journey.

CJP leader Deepke Deepke said that the end of the protest does not mean the end of the movement. This is just a start. He also demanded compensation for the families of students who committed suicide amid the examination controversy and action against policemen for the clashes during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on July 20.

not the end but a new beginning

Agreeing with this, CJP spokesperson Neha Bora said that this movement has shown the power of youth working together. He told the media, “United youth can bring change. This is not the end, but a new beginning.”

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the organization will continue to raise issues affecting the youth and push for reforms in education and governance. “The movement will continue to raise issues related to youth and work towards reforms in education and governance,” Das told PTI.

Das said that entering electoral politics is not the immediate priority of the group. He said, “There are 750-800 political parties and none of them can fulfill the expectations of the youth and we want to take this movement to the grassroots level so that, no matter which political party or political leader is in power, they can work for the youth and fulfill their demands. This is our agenda right now.”

no denial of politics

Although CJP leaders said that their current focus is on expanding the movement, CJP leader Ranka did not rule out the possibility of entering politics in the future.

According to media reports, when asked whether the Cockroach Janata Party could eventually become a political party, Ranka replied, “The only thing I have learned in my short career in public life and politics is never say never. Never say never.” However, he stressed that the priority right now is to improve the education system of the country.

Ranka said, “This is not over. This is just beginning. We will not stop until the education system of this country is fixed, and that is a promise.”
