An important meeting of senior officials and workers was organized under the leadership of the party’s national president Nitin Naveen at the headquarters extension of the Bharatiya Janata Party. A total of 65 senior leaders including the National President and the Organization General Secretary participated in this meeting which lasted for about six hours. The main objective of the meeting was to improve the quality of functioning and activities of the organization and to brainstorm on organizational changes as per the need of the hour.
During this, on the occasion of completion of 12 years of Modi government, there was a detailed discussion on the achievements of the government and the strategy to take the public welfare schemes to the people. In this meeting, all the National General Secretaries, three National Vice Presidents, one National Secretary, in-charges of four states, state presidents and organization ministers of 15 states were present. In the meeting, the expansion of NDA governments in 22 states of the country and the growing organizational influence of BJP were reviewed.
Besides, special emphasis was laid on strengthening the organization up to the booth level and making the role of workers effective. On the basis of suggestions and feedback received from the workers, measures to further strengthen the working style of the organization were discussed.
Organization’s priority to women empowerment
The BJP high command discussed plans to involve a large number of youth in the organization and give them leadership responsibilities. Describing women empowerment as the priority of the organization, there was also discussion on the topic of promoting women’s participation and leadership. Apart from this, measures to expand the organization among the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities and increase their participation were also considered.
In the meeting, the strategy to connect doctors, engineers, lawyers and other professional classes with the party and take advantage of their expertise in organizational work was discussed. The outline of the organization’s comprehensive expansion, new working style and public relations campaigns in the coming years were also considered.
Emphasis on effectively implementing programs
National President Nitin Naveen guided the officials and workers to work actively for organization expansion, booth empowerment and increasing the reach of the party to various sections of the society. He stressed on strengthening the organization, connecting new sections with the party and implementing the upcoming programs effectively.
In the meeting, party workers were advised not to limit themselves to only social media based politics. Special emphasis was laid on strengthening the organization’s traditional strengths – door-to-door contact and direct public communication. The workers were asked to establish regular communication with the public through digital mediums as well as to increase activism at the booth level.
Emphasis on promotion of schemes of central and state governments
The party leadership stressed the need to deliver information about the schemes of the Central and State Governments to every home, establish direct communication with the public, gather information on local issues and make the feedback system more effective. It was agreed in the meeting that for the expansion of the organization, equal importance will be given to personal contact and public relations campaigns along with social media.
The BJP leadership made it clear that in the coming period, strengthening the presence of the organization at the grassroots level, increasing its reach to all sections of the society and strengthening the organization at the booth level will be the major priorities of the party.
