He told that there was a time when buying a bungalow in Pali Hill, a posh area of ​​Mumbai, was just a dream for him. Jeetendra, who lived with eight people in a small chawl in Girgaon, never thought that he would become the owner of such a big property. But fate gave him this opportunity and he bought the bungalow of veteran actor Bharat Bhushan for just Rs 4.25 lakh. At that time, a plot of about 3,450 square feet was also included in this deal.

Did the bungalow prove to be inauspicious for Jeetendra?

Jeetendra told that some time after purchasing this bungalow, four of his consecutive films had flopped. They started feeling that this house was proving to be inauspicious for them. He told his father that if he stayed here any longer, his career might be over. After his father’s consent, he had decided to leave that bungalow.

Got tremendous benefits from the bungalow

However, as time passed, the same property brought him tremendous benefits. Jeetendra decided to redevelop the bungalow. He told that during the demolition of the bungalow, he got Rs 11.5 lakh by selling the Burma teak wood used in it, whereas he had bought the entire bungalow for only Rs 4.25 lakh. Later he built Gautam Apartments at the same place. However, in a hurry he sold the flat at the rate of only Rs 85 per square foot. Today the price of flat in the same area has reached around Rs 85 thousand per square foot. According to media reports, now the price of this bungalow has reached around Rs 500 crore.
