Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the government of using pellet guns against protesting students and said that criminal Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will have to step down from the post. Rahul Gandhi presented Sahil, the youth who was allegedly injured by the use of pellet gun during the student protests in Delhi, in front of the media and said that barbaric action has been taken against thousands of such youth.
While posting a video on X, Rahul Gandhi wrote that Sahil was just asking for a clean exam and the fruits of his hard work with the tricolor in his hand. The police picked up the gun and fired shrapnel, injuring him badly. This is not the oppression of the British, but the barbarity of the Modi government of independent India, where innocent students demanding their rights get bullets and not justice.

He said, the government is saying that pellet gun was not used, whereas pellet gun was used at the time when this young man was standing carrying the national flag. His eye has been damaged and he cannot see. Rahul Gandhi said that these are our future and thousands of such youth have been shot with pellet guns, lathicharged, hit and beaten. They were protesting peacefully against the paper leak.
Lakhs of people affected by paper leak
He said that lakhs of people have been affected by the paper leak and the government will have to stop lying. Rahul Gandhi said that the government has attacked our future. The future, i.e. the youth, is saying only three things. The first demand is that the Education Minister should be dismissed. The second demand is that action should be taken against those who use sticks and beat up students. The third demand is that the Prime Minister should apologize to the youth.
Symbol of the collapsed education system
He claimed that Dharmendra Pradhan is a criminal Education Minister. They will have to move. He is a symbol of our collapsed education system. They have to go. Rahul Gandhi said that the opposition stands with the demands of the students and playing with the future of the youth in cases like question paper leak cannot be tolerated.
