Archita has shared Dharmendra Pradhan’s picture with the national flag on her Instagram story, in which she wrote, ‘Dharmendra Pradhan resigns amid massive student protests over NEET leak fiasco.’ Party workers have expressed their displeasure over Pradhan’s comment regarding resignation amid the NEET paper leak controversy. Many BJP leaders believe that such words coming from the family of a party leader is against discipline.
Refused to delete post
Archita celebrated Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and posted a post expressing happiness. Along with this, she also wrote that there is a lot of pressure on her to delete the post but she will not do so. However, now Archita’s account has been deactivated.
According to sources, after receiving a call from the head office, Aparajita Sarangi requested her daughter to remove the post, but Archita refused. After this he posted another post. It read, ‘Also, to DP’s PA who is sure to text my mother asking me to delete my previous story — Don’t bother. I won’t delete. Jai Jagannath! Jai Hind.’ At present, Archita has maintained distance from the media regarding this matter.
MP supported Pradhan
After the controversy escalated, Aparajita Sarangi posted on social media on Saturday night and gave a statement in favor of Dharmendra Pradhan. She wrote that resigning while taking moral responsibility is an act of great courage and she stands firmly with Dharmendra Pradhan in this difficult time. The completely different stance of the MP and his daughter further fueled the debate within the party.
BJP leaders expressed displeasure
Jagannath Pradhan, who was the BJP candidate from Bhubaneswar Central in 2024, gave a strong reaction. He said, ‘Pradhan is the son of the soil. We are hurt by his resignation. Odisha has made Bihar’s daughter Aparajita an MP twice. He further said, Sarangi should control his family and apologize to Odisha for his daughter’s statement. The daughter of an educated person should not say such things against a leader like Pradhan who has made a huge contribution to Odisha and the country. Another senior BJP leader also said, ‘BJP is a family. Everyone should stand together in trouble. It is not acceptable to go against the leader like this in a disciplined party.
‘Everyone has the right to express their views’
MP office assistant Dhaneshwar Barik defended the daughter on the dispute. He said, ‘Everyone has the right to express his views. His daughter is from Gen Z and he stands by his statement. He has the right to speak. When he was asked whether this could cause political damage to the MP, he said that only time would tell.
