Government is scared that Sonam Wangchuk might bring a revolution… Arvind Kejriwal appealed for protest on 20th July

July 16, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has awakened a new ray of hope among the youth by demanding from Jantar Mantar to make educationist Sonam Wangchuk the education minister of the country. On Thursday, he met Sonam Wangchuk, who was on hunger strike demanding transparency in the education system and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and supported her struggle.

He said that Dharmendra Pradhan should be removed and Sonam Wangchuk should be made the education minister of the country. But the Prime Minister will not do this, because he fears that Sonam Wangchuk might bring a revolution in education. Only a revolutionary step can fix the rotten education system of the country. Therefore, the country needs both a revolutionary education minister like Sonam Wangchuk as well as revolutionary steps.

City-to-city demonstration against paper leak

Arvind Kejriwal Told that there are many teachers in our country who raised their voice against paper leak from their respective cities, but they were arrested. Those teachers were tortured in various ways and FIRs were filed against them, I also salute all those people. Sonam Wangchuk is a great educationist. He has fasted many times in the past for Ladakh and the country and today he is putting his life at stake for the country.

Arvind Kejriwal said that due to the way papers have started leaking in the country in the last few years, the child’s self-confidence is beginning to waver that if he works hard and is intelligent, he will leave behind even the children of the rich. This wavering self-confidence of children today is not right and is very dangerous for the country.

Paper leak mastermind gets bail

Arvind Kejriwal said that now papers are being leaked every year. The government granted bail to the mastermind of the paper which was leaked in the year 2024. Now it has become a system that every year papers are leaked, committees are set up, investigation is done, FIR is made, arrests are made, bail is granted and preparations start again for next year’s paper leak. How long will the youth of the country and these children tolerate this?

Arvind Kejriwal said that after the NEET paper leak, more than 20 children committed suicide, but the government did not get any sense. It does not even bother their ears, no matter how many children commit suicide. The children who are committing suicide were the children of our homes, but the government did nothing. The entire evaluation system in CBSE went awry, leave alone arrests, the government did not even register an FIR against the company responsible.

Once again the arrogant government will end – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that this was Jantar Mantar, it was April 4, 2011 and Anna Hazare was sitting here. The government of that time also had a lot of arrogance, but after three years that government could not survive because of its arrogance and drowned. Today is 2026 and I want to tell the government to listen to the cockroach movement of the youth and Sonam Wangchuk, otherwise three years from now they will also meet the same fate as that arrogant government in 2014. This government is losing its mind and is too immersed in ego.

Appealing to the countrymen, he said that maximum numbers should come to Jantar Mantar on 20th July and make the peaceful Parliament march successful.

Appeal to people sitting at home to come out

During this, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh appealed to the people sitting in their homes to come out and reach Jantar Mantar, citing the lines of national poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, ‘Summer is remaining, no, only the hunter runs away from sin, time will write about the crime of those who are neutral’. People have to join the voice of Sonam Wangchuk and force the Indian government and Narendra Modi to bow down.

Sanjay Singh said that Arvind Kejriwal has assured that we will support this movement in every way. We also appeal to other political parties and mass movements to support this movement, because Sonam Wangchuk is not fighting her personal battle, but is fighting for crores of youth of the country, the future of India and tomorrow.
