After the successful movement launched by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) regarding the NEET paper leak controversy, the youth of the country have shown a new path of digital activism. On the same lines, now two new movements are emerging rapidly on social media, E20 Janata Party, Reservation Hatao Andolan (RHA) and Reservation Removal Sangh (RSS). Unlike traditional political parties, these parties do not have any registered office or address. Let us know the inside story of the demands of these three parties and their growing influence.
1. E20 Janata Party
Like CJP, E20 Janata Party has also emerged as a citizen movement. The names of its founders have not been revealed yet, but it has gained huge influence in a very short time. This group, which became active on

What is the main goal and agenda?
This movement is against the E20 (20% ethanol blended petrol) policy of the central government. The group says their agenda is to ensure transparency, protect consumer rights and promote open discussion on the real impact of the E20 policy. In protest against this policy, he has also demanded the resignation of Nitin Gadkari.
The agitators demand that E0 (100% pure petrol) should be made available at all petrol pumps. In fact, Nitin Gadkari had recently said that those who want pure petrol (E0) can buy it at ₹167 per litre, while standard E20 petrol costs ₹102.12 per litre. The agitators are protesting against this huge difference in price.
Preparing to hit the road
This digital movement has now also got grassroots support. Supporting this, ‘Delhi Taxi and Tourist Transporters and Tour Operators Association’ has announced a Parliament march on 4th August. In this march led by Association President Sanjay Samrat, along with the disadvantages of E20 petrol, the mandatory requirement of GPS tracking and panic button in commercial vehicles will also be protested. The association says that fraud is taking place in the name of Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD).
Protestors say that E20 fuel reduces the mileage of vehicles, increases maintenance costs and has a negative impact on old engines. However, the central government claims that no concrete evidence has been found of any defect related to ethanol blended fuel on a large scale.
2. Reservation Removal Movement (RHA)
Currently, ‘Reservation Hatao Andolan’ (RHA) has become the fastest growing page on Instagram, which has around 46 lakh followers. This is completely a social media campaign, in which a large number of youth from the general category and some OBC communities are joining.

What is the demand and ideology of RHA?
The main demand of RHA is to completely abolish caste-based reservation in India. They argue that admission to educational institutions and recruitment to government jobs should be based on merit, academic performance and personal ability, and not on the basis of caste.
financial aid advocacy
This movement is not completely against reservation, but wants to change its form. They say that the government should provide financial assistance to economically weaker (EWS) citizens instead of caste. On social media, this group is promoting slogans like reservation is discrimination and one nation, one identity, Indian. Like CJP, this group is also planning a strategy to hold big demonstrations on the streets after creating an online environment.
3. Reservation Removal Sangh (RSS)
In this environment against the reservation policy, another page is rapidly making its presence felt on Instagram. Its name is ‘Reservation Removal Sangh’ (RSS). Although this page is smaller than RHA and has crossed the mark of more than 1,700 followers, it is also continuously sharing posts related to major changes in the current reservation system and its removal.
Whether these pages of social media will become the foundation of any big nationwide movement in the coming time or will remain limited to digital space only, it will become clear from the Parliament march on 4th August and their grassroots demonstrations in the coming months.
