Hydrogen Train Viral Video: A video of stone pelting on a train is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It is being claimed that this is the country’s first hydrogen train, which was attacked by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and its supporters. However, during investigation this claim turned out to be false. Northern Railway has clarified that the train seen in the video is not a hydrogen train.
In the viral video, a train is seen entering a station. Meanwhile, some people present on the platform and nearby start throwing stones towards the train. Stone pelting is clearly visible in the video, but it does not reveal which station the incident took place in, when it happened and which train is seen in the video. Therefore, the place and time of the video has not been confirmed at this time.
Claims are being made by calling it a hydrogen train.
After the video went viral, many social media accounts called it an attack on India’s first indigenous hydrogen train. Some posts claimed that the incident was related to the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar. On the basis of this claim, many users also made comments targeting CJP and the leaders associated with it.

What did Northern Railway say?
Amidst the viral claims, Northern Railways said that the train shown in the video is not a hydrogen train, but a train operated by a WAG-12 locomotive. It was also told that this is probably an old video and the hydrogen train is operating normally as per its scheduled timetable.
After the video surfaced, many people associated with the Railways and social media users said that the engine seen in the video is not of the hydrogen train, but of the WAG-12 electric freight locomotive. WAG-12 is a 12,000 horsepower electric freight locomotive developed in partnership with Indian Railways and Alstom. It is manufactured in the factory located in Madhepura, Bihar.
