Devshayani Ekadashi 2026 Fast Parana Muhurat: Today is the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month, which is traditionally celebrated as Devshayani Ekadashi. Today devotees are observing fast on Devshayani Ekadashi. This Ekadashi is also called Ashadhi Ekadashi and Harishayani Ekadashi. Chaturmas has started from today, because Lord Vishnu has gone into Yoga Nidra today. Lord’s sleeping period has started from today, which will end on 20th November on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi.

In Hindu religion, as special and important as the fast and worship of Devshayani Ekadashi is, the breaking of this fast is equally important. It is said in the scriptures that the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi should be broken only at an auspicious time and in the right manner. Only then one gets the full benefits of this fast and the special blessings of Lord Vishnu. In such a situation, let us know what will be the auspicious time to break the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi tomorrow i.e. on 26th July? Auspicious time of Devshayani Ekadashi fast 2026 Paran

According to the scriptures, the fast of Ekadashi is always broken on Dwadashi date only. Not performing Parana within Dwadashi tithi is considered equivalent to committing a sin. Also, this fast is not observed even during Hari Vasar. Tomorrow, the auspicious time for breaking the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi will be from 06.13 am to 08.50 am. Tomorrow Dwadashi Tithi will end at 01:57 pm.

Method of breaking the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi

To break the fast of Ekadashi, take bath on the Dwadashi date. Then wear clean clothes. After this, light a lamp in front of the statue or picture of Lord Vishnu. Offer Tulsi, flowers, fruits and offerings to Narayan. Perform Aarti of Lord Vishnu. Before breaking the fast, donate food, money or clothes to a Brahmin, poor or needy person. Then break your fast by consuming Tulsi Dal, Panchamrit or Satvik food.
