
The hearing in the case of donation theft in Ayodhya’s Ram temple is going to start in the Supreme Court shortly. A total of 4 petitions are to be heard in this case, which also includes the petition of Hindu Dharma Parishad. The Dharma Parishad has demanded an investigation into donation theft under the supervision of the Supreme Court.
A 2-member bench headed by CJI Surya Kant will hear a total of 4 petitions. In the remaining two separate petitions, a demand has been made to get the entire matter investigated by the CBI, while in the third petition, a demand has been made to conduct the investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CBI and to preserve the evidence and to conduct a forensic audit of the financial transactions of the temple trust.
The petitioners say that to ensure a fair and transparent investigation of the case, investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court is necessary. These petitions also include a writ petition filed by lawyer Narendra Kumar Goswami, petition by Ajay Kumar Rai and RJD MP Sudhakar Singh.
Meanwhile, the Congress also alleged serious irregularities in the process of stealing donations for the Ram temple and demanded an investigation into the matter under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Congress spokesperson Ajay Upadhyay termed it a case of loot in the name of faith.
Upadhyay said in Jaipur, “The funds raised in the name of Lord Ram have become a means of political plunder for the BJP-RSS. This is not just an economic scam. It is a grave betrayal of the faith, trust and sentiments of crores of devotees across the world.” The opposition is also demanding a judicial inquiry into the alleged financial irregularities in the donation management system of Ram Temple.
