Crowd gathered at Jantar Mantar before CGP’s ‘Sansad Chalo’ march, Delhi turned into a cantonment.

Following the appeal of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke to remain at the protest site throughout the night, a large number of people reached Jantar Mantar on Sunday and before the proposed Sansad Chalo march today, banners were put up there and protesters raised slogans. Delhi Police is on high alert regarding the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) Parliament march to be held today.

Delhi Police has installed barricades at various places at Jantar Mantar, from where CJP has announced a march to Parliament. Due to the announcement of Parliament march and commencement of monsoon session, security has been tightened in the entire New Delhi district. Police say that neither permission has been taken nor any permission has been given for this march. In such a situation, if the protesters move towards the Parliament, they will be stopped on the way and action will be taken as per law.

Section 163 implemented in Delhi

Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) is in force, under which there is a ban on the gathering of 5 or more people. No procession or demonstration is allowed without permission in Parliament and the surrounding high-security area. Police have made it clear that legal action will be taken against those who violate the order. Here, the people who came to CJP’s protest are demanding that the Education Minister resign. He said that we will follow the call given by Sonam Wangchuk to march to the Parliament House.

Wangchuk will end his hunger strike

Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Geetanjali Angmo announced that she will end her hunger strike today if the leader meets Wangchuk at Safdarjung Hospital and assures her that the issue of accountability of the education system will be raised in the monsoon session of Parliament.

20 thousand people present around Jantar Mantar

CJP’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das claimed that even before the scheduled demonstration, about 20 thousand people were present in and around Jantar Mantar. Das said in a post on social media platform X, there are 20 thousand people in and around Jantar Mantar. Dharmendra Pradhan-Now the time has come to fix accountability. The demonstration also received support from many leaders and other personalities.
