Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke has announced to end the movement. CJP announced this in his press conference at 5.30 pm on Saturday evening. He said that the government has accepted their demands, hence now the agitation is being ended and appealed to all the agitators to go to their homes from Jantar Mantar. Before their press conference, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das from CJP’s side met Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and JP Nadda at the Constitution Club.
Let it be known that today at one o’clock Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had resigned from his post. As soon as this resignation was announced, Abhijit Dipke called it a victory for democracy. Aam Aadmi Party President Arvind Kejriwal also said the same thing. On the other hand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has called Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation a victory for the common opposition.
For the first time in Modi government, resignation of a minister due to agitation
Priyanka Gandhi has said that the government learned a lesson from the students’ movement. But no one doubts that this step of Modi government has shocked all the parties. However, this is the first time in the history of the Modi government that a minister resigned under the pressure of a public movement. Even when the farmers had staged a protest regarding the withdrawal of agricultural laws, the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws was announced after 22 months, but the resignation of the Agriculture Minister was not taken.
In the first term of the Modi government, Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar had resigned. But because of this, his name was to appear in Me Too, but the movement of Gen-G students forced the government to accept their demand and resignation from Dharmendra Pradhan was taken.
The conflict with the government ended with Pradhan’s resignation.
As soon as the news of resignation came at Jantar Mantar, there was enthusiasm among the youth gathered there. Abhijit Dipke said in great excitement, it’s morning uncle! He also said that we still have some more demands. For example, the government should give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of the students who committed suicide after the NEET paper leak.
Their second demand was that the government should take action against the police officers who beat up the students on July 20. However, it seemed only then that the government would accept these demands. Then in the Constitution Club, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh assured to accept their demands. After this the Cockroach Janata Party announced the end of the movement. In a way, Dharmendra Pradhan himself rescued the Modi government from its dilemma by resigning. Therefore, we can call this decision of the government, better late than never!

Still, the students gathered at Jantar Mantar did not desist, on the contrary they became more aggressive. Modi government tried its best to convince Gen-ji. Since the number of protesters was increasing after the violence of 20th July and many anarchist elements had also entered the movement, it was difficult for CJP to keep them under control.
All the opposition parties were eager to seize the movement.
Starting a youth movement is a different thing but maintaining that movement for a long time is a big thing. The leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party were also worried about this, because without the help of any organized political party, how could they carry it forward for a long time. Although Aam Aadmi Party was backing this movement.
But as soon as Congress staged a dharna near the PM’s residence regarding the students’ movement, the AAP party got upset. AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted and said that Rahul Gandhi is in collusion with BJP. Obviously, all the opposition parties were trying to take credit for the students’ movement, but the cockroach Janata Party did not hand over the leadership of this Gen-Ji movement going on at Jantar Mantar to anyone. On the other hand, the two talks held by the Central Government after July 20 were also with the representatives of the Cockroach Janata Party. Even two ministers went to break Wangchuk’s fast.
The government saved its stubbornness even by retreating.
The government also wanted to end this movement as soon as possible. There were two main reasons for this, to conclude the monsoon session of Parliament and to get our bills passed. Now it will be easy for him to get the bills passed with BJP’s own agenda. His chances of getting the required majority have also increased. There was a threat to it from Congress, but due to the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Congress’s morale has been shattered.
Therefore, it can be said that Modi government has not become stubborn by taking two steps back. On the contrary, the government has been successful in convincing the people that the BJP government is serious about the students. And the kind of stringent bill it is bringing regarding leaking of any examination paper. Therefore, it will be difficult for the opposition to oppose the government the way it was doing on July 21.

The bill coming on Monday is a victory for the government for students and farmers. Even though today’s step seems to be taking a step back. Now the opposition will have to find more issues to fight. This is the reason why Congress’s attitude seemed irritated today. Dharmendra Pradhan has clearly written in his resignation that he was very distressed and hurt by the events of the last ten days. Therefore, considering the interests of the youth and their demands as paramount, he is resigning. He also added that one of the reasons for resignation is that under the guise of students’ movement, anti-national external forces should take advantage of this situation. He also wrote that he has been dedicated to the advancement of education for the last four decades. In a way, Dharmendra Pradhan set standards as he went.
Rahul said- PM should apologize
On the other hand, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in his press conference blamed both Modi government and RSS equally in the paper leak cases. But the students forced the government to bow down. He also said that the violence committed by the police against the students during the movement should also be investigated and the culprits should be punished. Also the Prime Minister should apologize to the students. In this movement, not only the Cockroach Janata Party was involved, but also the students of the leftist organization AISA were also on fast for 23 days.
