The internal strife of Punjab Congress has increased the tension of Congress in Delhi. Meanwhile, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with party president Mallikarjun Kharge as soon as he returned from abroad. Many issues were discussed in it. Along with this, the high command summoned Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel to Delhi. Big information is coming out regarding this quoting sources. It is being told that the Congress high command has adopted a strict stance regarding the ongoing resentment in Punjab Congress.
According to sources, party president Mallikarjun Kharge has expressed strong displeasure over the attitude of a prominent leader of the rebel camp. At the same time, Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will not meet any angry leader at present. Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal can hold an important meeting with Congress MPs from Punjab before the upcoming session of Parliament. In this meeting, a clear message from the party leadership will be conveyed to the MPs.
The party will give this message to angry leaders through MPs
It is being told that through the MPs it will be made clear to the angry leaders that the party leadership is firm on its decision. It will also be told that there is no question of bowing before any kind of lobbying or pressure politics. Sources also say that the message will be given by the party leadership that no leader in the organization is bigger than the party. If anyone crosses the limits of discipline in future, the party leadership will not shy away from taking disciplinary action.
Let us tell you that at present it is a big challenge for the party high command to convince its leaders in Punjab. Many senior leaders including former CM Charanjit Singh Channi are adamant on the demand of removing State Congress President Raja Vading. Bhupesh Baghel is continuously saying that there will be no change in the leadership. However, despite him saying this, the tussle is not ending. In such a situation, the dilemma before Rahul Gandhi is this, if Channi’s demand is accepted then questions will be raised on the credibility of the high command. If it is not accepted then factionalism in Punjab may further intensify.
