UP CM Yogi Adityanath is on a tour of Agra. Here he has participated in the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme program. Here he said that social media and smartphones have become major sources of information today, but not every available material is true. Having more content or more views does not mean its credibility. Earlier newspapers and traditional media were considered more trustworthy due to their accountability and they played an important role in the freedom movement. On the contrary, fake accounts and misleading information on social media can spread confusion and hatred in the society. Therefore self-discipline, identification of correct facts and responsible usage is necessary.
