On Monday, he himself operated a tiller and plowed the fields at his private residence in Nagla Terai. Also gave the message of promoting organic and traditional farming by adding natural manure of cow dung in the fields. During this time his mother Bishna Devi was also present with him.

Environmental protection along with increasing fertility
The Chief Minister said that natural methods like cow dung manure play an important role in increasing the fertility of the land as well as in environmental protection. He called upon the farmers to reduce their dependence on chemical fertilizers and move towards organic and natural farming. He said that the state government is continuously working to increase the income of farmers, modernize agriculture and promote organic products.

The Chief Minister said that the identity of Uttarakhand is linked to agriculture, rural culture and nature. The state government is providing assistance to farmers through various schemes to promote traditional farming, horticulture, natural agriculture and local products. He said that it is the need of the hour to connect the young generation with farming and rural development.
