Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Sunday withdrew its protest against NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar. It has been announced to withdraw the movement after the demands were agreed upon in the talks between Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh and the CJP delegation. At a joint press conference, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the decision was taken with the understanding that the conditions would be implemented within the stipulated time.
“Cockroach Janata Party announces that we are withdrawing the protests in good faith, with the understanding that the agreed conditions will be implemented within the stipulated time,” Das said.
He said that all our demands have been accepted, hence we urge the protestors to immediately disperse and return home peacefully. We will tell you about our further strategy or any other issue. “But we urge the protesters to disperse immediately.”
Cockroach Janata Party In the statement issued on behalf of X, it has been said that Cockroach Janata Party has immediately withdrawn its nationwide movement. Cockroach Janata Party said that all the demands have been accepted by the government:
- Maximum compensation should be given to the families of suicides related to NEET paper leak.
- All FIRs of the Central Government and NDA ruled states will be withdrawn, and no action will be taken against anyone involved in these protests in future.
- The government will consider CJP’s 5-point exam reform charter and CJP will meet the government to further discuss these reforms.
Saurabh Das said that three rounds of discussions have taken place with the government in the last few days. The protest that was going on for 37 days had three demands from the government:
- Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation
- All FIRs should be withdrawn and no action should be taken in future also.
- Compensation of Rs 1 crore should be given to the children who died during the paper leak scandal.
He said that Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. The first demand has been fully accepted. Along with this, the second demand – that all the FIRs registered outside the country should be returned, was also accepted. Will share the copies of the FIRs lodged with us. FIR will be withdrawn. No action will be taken against any future protestors and CJP’s team.

Meanwhile, Nadda said that the government has accepted the demands of the delegation, which also include that no police action will be taken against the protesters and the families of students who committed suicide will be given compensation as per the rules.
Nadda said that we had a long conversation today. He had brought a written draft in which he said four things about the issues going on in the movement. Along with this, we also talked about the remaining two demands: no retaliatory action should be taken, compensation should be given, and their five-point charter should be considered.
He further said, “We will give them a copy of the FIR, and no action will be taken. The second thing that has been said is that regarding compensation, the government has clearly said that we are also sympathetic. We all have said that compensation will be given as per the rules and law.
On the five-point charter presented by the CJP delegation, Nadda said the government will “think deeply” on suggestions to improve the education examination system.
Now the movement is over after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan
This agreement of the Center came after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid protests across the country over the NEET paper leak. Pradhan said that he has resigned from the post after considering the situation in Jantar Mantar and the entire country.
Minutes after Pradhan’s resignation, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke announced that the protest would continue until the remaining demands were met. He had demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of the students who committed suicide after the paper leak and action against the policemen for the alleged action on the protesters on July 20.
However, after three rounds of talks with the Centre, the CJP on Sunday announced that it was immediately withdrawing its 36-day agitation at Jantar Mantar after the government accepted its remaining demands, and also agreed to consider the party’s five-point charter on exam reforms.
