
The Supreme Court on Wednesday had refused urgent hearing on the petition in which the issue of Delhi Police’s action against the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protesters was raised. CJI Surya Kant said that on the petition of a lawyer, do not waste your time and do not waste our time also. His comment also went viral on social media. He has now given clarification on this. In fact, the case of lathi charge during CJP’s demonstration in Delhi was mentioned in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. However, CJI Surya Kant did not hear the case. CGI even refused to watch the video of lathi charge. He told lawyer Narendra Mishra that we do not have time.
