Recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama: During these four months of Chaturmas, chant the mantra of Lord Vishnu “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay” regularly and recite Vishnu Sahasranama daily or every Thursday. It is believed that doing this maintains happiness and peace in the house.
Tulsi worship: During these four months, light a ghee lamp near Tulsi every evening. Also revolve around Tulsi. There is a religious belief that by worshiping Tulsi in Chaturmas, Goddess Lakshmi becomes very happy and by her grace the house remains filled with food and wealth.
Yellow offering and donation of yellow things to Lord Vishnu: On Thursday during Chaturmas, donate yellow flowers, yellow clothes and gram flour laddus to Lord Vishnu and also donate yellow things, turmeric, yellow clothes or gram pulses to the needy. Ekadashi fast: Keep a fast of Lord Vishnu on all Ekadashi dates falling during Chaturmas. On the day of Ekadashi, anoint Lord Vishnu with Ganga water.
Cow Service: Serve cows regularly during these four months. Feed bread to the cow daily. Feed flour and sugar to ants. By doing this it is believed that all sins are destroyed.
