
The separate meetings of leaders of both factions of NCP, Ajit Pawar faction and Sharad Pawar faction with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday have heated up the politics of Maharashtra. First of all, Maharashtra President of Ajit Pawar faction Sunil Tatkare met Amit Shah. After some time, Sharad Pawar faction’s MP Supriya Sule and Beed MP Bajrang Sonawane also met the Union Home Minister.
After the meeting, MP Bajrang Sonawane said that we had come to invite the wedding reception of Supriya Sule’s daughter Revati. Apart from this, he also discussed some issues related to his parliamentary constituency with the Home Minister.
After merger, both the factions should become part of NDA!
However, political sources claim that BJP wants both the factions of NCP to first unite and then become a part of (NDA). According to sources, talks are going on in this direction between the central leadership of BJP and both the factions of NCP. However, till now no party has officially confirmed the political agenda of these meetings.
Sharad Pawar’s meeting with PM Modi
Earlier, even after Sharad Pawar’s meeting with PM Modi and Praful Patel, speculations regarding merger had increased. However, after meeting PM Modi, Sharad Pawar said that he and Supriya Sule had discussed with the PM the demands of students related to ‘NEET paper leak’, problems of farmers, water management and issues related to education sector.
Let us tell you that one faction of NCP is being led by Sharad Pawar and the other is being led by Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar. NCP led by Sunetra Pawar is part of NDA. Sunetra Pawar is also the Deputy CM in Maharashtra Government. Whereas NCP led by Sharad Pawar is part of the opposition ‘India’ alliance.
