Once again, speculations about political upheaval in Maharashtra politics have intensified. Just as there was rebellion in Shiv Sena under the leadership of Eknath Shinde in the year 2022, a similar incident is now expected to happen again. There is talk that seven MPs of Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) may leave the party and join the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde. However, both the parties are still silent on this matter. Shiv Sena UBT only says that this is a mere rumour. But even before this, many such incidents have happened in which UBT MPs have been seen close to Eknath Shinde.
Last month, Eknath Shinde himself had come to see the wife of Uddhav Thackeray’s MP from North East Mumbai Lok Sabha seat, Sanjay Dina Patil, in the hospital and Sanjay Patil was seen together in Shinde’s car. It is being told that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MP Shrikant Shinde are in touch with the MPs of Thackeray group for the last six months. Even before this, several rounds of individual and group meetings were held in Delhi. There has also been talk of meetings of Thackeray faction MPs at the Delhi residence of Shinde faction’s Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav.
Speculations of major burglary again in Uddhav group
According to sources, on June 7, a secret meeting was held in Delhi between Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and some MPs of the Thackeray faction. It is being told that in this meeting, a special political proposal was given to these MPs by the Shinde group. Amidst the possibilities of expansion of the Union Cabinet, the discussion about efforts to break into the Thackeray faction has also intensified. Sources claim that during the meeting, an MP from the Thackeray faction was assured of a place in the Union Cabinet, while other MPs were also assured of important responsibilities and posts.
Seven UBT MPs in contact with Shinde faction
According to sources, out of total 9 MPs of Thackeray group, except two MPs from Mumbai, the remaining seven MPs are said to be in touch with Shinde group. It is being claimed that these seven MPs met Shinde in Delhi. During his visit to Delhi, Eknath Shinde also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. There is talk in political circles that in this meeting, possible political developments related to Thackeray group MPs were also discussed. At the same time, if the Union Cabinet is expanded, then Shinde faction MP Shrikant Shinde is also expected to get a ministerial post.
