Attention If e-KYC remains incomplete, then 24th installment of PM Kisan will get stuck, update online like this

July 16, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) is a scheme of the Central Government. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given every year in three equal installments to all the land-owning farmer families of the country to increase their income. Farmers who have completed their eKYC, whose bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar card (UID card) and whose land records are registered on PM Kisan portal, are eligible to get the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana. Let us also tell you when will the eligible farmers get the 24th installment of PM Kisan Yojana? Also, how can I update EKYC online?

When will the 24th installment be received?

The 24th installment of PM Kisan Yojana is likely to be released in October 2026. Installments are usually released every four months. The amount of PM Kisan installment will be Rs 2,000. The previous installment was released on June 20, 2026.

How to check PM Kisan beneficiary status

step 1: Go to the official website of PM Kisan.

Step 2: Go to the beneficiary status page.

Step 3: Click on Beneficiary Status.

Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number or account number.

Step 5: Click on Get Data.

Step 6: Check beneficiary status.

Step 7: Check payment status.

After processing by the system, your beneficiary status will appear on the screen.

Why is it important to complete eKYC?

eKYC has been made mandatory to ensure that the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana reach the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of genuine beneficiaries directly without any middleman.

How to complete e-KYC?

Farmers can also complete their eKYC from their mobile phones.

step 1: Download PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app from Google Play Store.

Step 2: Open the app and log in with your PM Kisan-registered mobile number.

Step 3: Go to the beneficiary status page.

Step 4: If the eKYC status shows ‘No’, click on eKYC, enter your Aadhaar number and give consent to scan your face.

eKYC methods for PM Kisan

(i) OTP-based e-KYC (available on PM-Kisan portal and mobile app)

(ii) Biometric-based e-KYC (available at Common Service Center (CSC) and State Service Center (SSK))

(iii) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM Kisan mobile app, used by millions of farmers)

Which farmers do not get benefits?

The government has identified some suspected cases that may fall under the ‘exclusion rules’ mentioned in the guidelines of the PM-Kisan scheme. These include…

(i) Those farmers who have acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019.

(ii) Cases where more than one member of the family is availing the benefit (eg, both husband and wife, one adult member and one minor, etc.).

In such cases, benefits have been withheld until physical verification is completed.

Farmers are requested to check their eligibility status through ‘Know Your Status’ (KYS) or ‘Kisan eMitra’ chatbot on PM Kisan website/mobile app for more information.
