Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has shared a post on social media regarding the hunger strike of environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar. He wrote in the post that it is our very humble request and civil appeal to Sonam Wangchuk to break her fast. His life is precious for the entire world because he has as much commitment to humanity and environment as he has to democracy.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP government for which he is on fast unto death is an unprincipled, corrupt system and in its insensitivity and heartlessness, no one’s sacrifice has any significance. Therefore, any expectation of morality and change of heart from the BJP is futile.
‘No one’s life has any value for BJP’
Akhilesh sarcastically said that no one’s life has any value for the BJP. For them money is important. They are proud of the money earned through corruption. It is futile to hope for change in them. Akhilesh said that those who have ego do not have refinement. How can those who are looting even temples out of greed for power know the importance of Satyagraha? They have nothing to do with the future of the youth, nor with the dreams of their parents and other relatives, they are selfish people.
Akhilesh said that your superpower of morale and morality should become the inspiration of every true Indian to defeat and forever remove the gang of sinful-unrighteous BJP and its underground unregistered associates who are strangling democracy and may you always remain a beacon of light against the negative forces for the struggle of countrymen, youth, democracy and environment, this is our wish and prayer too.
According to media reports, questions were asked to Sonam Wanchuk on Akhilesh and Rahul Gandhi maintaining silence on this matter. Wangchuk said that if he does not cooperate then it will be considered very small. Everyone should come together. This is a national subject.
