Congress leader Ravneet Singh Bittu has strongly attacked the film Sutlej. He said that when Operation Blue Star happened, Indira Gandhi was assassinated, why did it happen, because it hurt the sentiments of the killers, today what would happen if someone’s sentiments got hurt after watching this film and he became a human bomb. He said that the party or the government has no control over Sutlej, Indira Gandhi’s government attacked the Golden Temple, Rajiv Gandhi talked about falling of a big tree.
He said that Congress people killed, burnt and destroyed the business of Sikhs in the country. Hindus did not kill Sikhs, they saved them. Congressmen killed. Today the narrative of Sikh versus Hindu is being created, foreign powers are involved in it. Through photographs, Ravneet Singh Bittu has compared the good patriotic Sikhs versus the anti-national Sikhs who are the face of extremism. No one has any objection to the picture.
‘Why was the FIR not registered at that time?’
Ravneet Singh said that Beant Singh was murdered on 31 August 1995, Khalda Saheb was picked up in September. It has to be seen who was the CM of Congress at that time, who was the PM of the country. No case or FIR was registered against Khalda Saheb during Beant Singh’s tenure.
He said that a lot of things happened during the time of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, Congress will answer for it. (Story of Sutlej) There is selective memory which is imposed on us since 25-30 years. We are plucked like vultures. Punjab was that time when the Sikh was the first to take the bullet meant for a Hindu. What are you showing? Ravneet said that we have no problem with the picture, the problem is that it is one sided. We have no enmity with Daljit Dosanjh or anyone. The story has been shown wrong.
