Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has appealed to support the movement of Sonam Wangchuk and Abhijit Deepke. In the press conference held on Monday, Uddhav Thackeray said that the issue raised by Abhijeet Deepke at Jantar Mantar is the issue of the future of thousands of students. The government does not have time. The future of the students is getting spoiled.
He said that Sonam Wangchug came and met me last month. I have full support to Sonam Wangchug and Abhijeet Deepke. They are on fast unto death. The government has not paid any attention to them for sixteen days. Today the country needs a person like Sonam Wangchug, but the government is not making any difference.
Uddhav Thackeray Said that you will remember that GD Aggarwal had fasted for 114 days. No government paid any attention to the riots and he died. Similarly, Sonam Wangchug’s health is continuously deteriorating. Political parties of the country should come together now on this issue.
Everyone should support the movement
Uddhav Thackeray said that Abhijeet Deepke is raising the voice of the youth of the country. Abhijeet has organized a morcha on 20th. A plan is underway to suppress it. Why are these people fighting? This is not a matter of politics. This is a national subject. It should get support in every state.
He said that I say that Rahul Gandhi should also go. BJP leaders should also go. Like I had called upon all Hindus for Ram Raksha Andolan. Similarly, in this movement, I am also calling upon the leaders of all the states to support Sonam Wangchug and Abhijeet Deepke.
Appeal to Wangchug to break his fast
He said that Sonam Wangchug should break the fast in Delhi. I request with folded hands. You break your fast. The country needs you. Together we will take this country forward.
Referring to Anna Hazare’s movement and Sushma Swaraj’s speech, he said that earlier governments used to listen to public movements, but not now. On the demand for resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he said that what is the problem if someone else is made a minister in his place.
Targeting the Central Government regarding NEET exam, he said that the future of the students is at stake. He said that the government is busy in foreign tours, while important issues of the country are being ignored.
Ram Raksha movement will be held in Nagpur
Uddhav Thackeray said in the press conference on Monday that a week ago I had given my statement on the looting going on in the Ram temple at this very place. After this, we organized Ram Raksha Andolan in Hanuman temple of Dadar. I myself will be in Nagpur on 18th July and will go for Ram Raksha Andolan.
He said that Hindus should not remain asleep, they should remain awake. If they are exploiting Hindus and looting, then they should be taught a lesson. There is a strange situation in the country.
Uddhav Thackeray also targeted the government over the poor condition of roads and potholes in the state and said that corruption has been going on openly for years. This is Gadkari’s work, but he is talking about ethanol.
