Ramayana’s ‘Shurpanakha’ won hearts wearing silk saree, Rakul Preet Singh’s royal look wreaked havoc

Rakul Preet Singh Saree Look: The 'First Sankalp' event of the upcoming film 'Ramayana' was held in Delhi on Saturday, 18th July. The entire cast of the film attended this special event, which included Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey. Rakul Preet Singh also participated in this event where she was seen wearing a yellow saree. 
Rakul Preet Singh is playing the role of Ravana's sister 'Shurpanakha' in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. Rakul Preet, who arrived at this event in a yellow saree, stole the entire gathering. The actress shared these pictures of hers on social media, which are becoming quite viral. 
While posting these photos, Rakul Preet Singh wrote in the caption, "It is an honor to be a part of something that is bigger than life and cinema, our history, our heritage, our Ramayana. We represent India in front of the world. This feeling is truly beyond words. Eagerly waiting for all of you to step into this world with us."
Rakul Preet Singh is wearing a mustard yellow silk saree in these photos shared on Instagram. This is a traditional checks pattern silk saree, which has golden zari border and pallu. Rakul Preet Singh is looking very beautiful in this saree. 
Rakul Preet Singh styled this beautiful saree with a heavily embroidered strapless blouse, traditional Kundan choker necklace, kamarbandh and earrings. The actress wore this ethnic look with minimal makeup, half open hair, golden bangle and a ring.
Talking about 'Ramayana', Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Goddess Sita, Yash is playing the role of Ravana and Ravi Dubey is playing the role of Laxman. Apart from these, the film also includes actors like Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal and Vivek Oberoi. The budget of the film is Rs 4000 crore, part 1 of which will be released in theaters on Diwali 2026 and part 2 on Diwali 2027.
