The Supreme Court will hear tomorrow (Monday) the petitions demanding an impartial and time-bound investigation into the theft of offerings in the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Before the hearing tomorrow, the SIT constituted by the UP government has filed the status report. SIT has filed this status report in the Supreme Court in a sealed envelope. Now a bench of three judges headed by CJI Surya Kant will hear this matter tomorrow.
Let us tell you that in the last hearing of the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft case, the Supreme Court had called for the status report from the SIT. The court had also sent a notice to the Ram Mandir Trust.
Supreme Court had summoned the report
In fact, on July 13, the Supreme Court, while agreeing to hear these petitions, had said, in some writ petitions it has been said that some FIRs have already been registered in this matter and an SIT has been formed for investigation. Therefore, we direct the SIT constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government to present the status report in this court. The bench had also issued a notice to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in this matter and sought its reply.
Interrogation of Tinnu Yadav and Manish Yadav ended
The interrogation of Tinnu Yadav and Manish Yadav in the donation theft case has ended. It is being told that the police has also collected many evidences. Also, Tinnu Yadav’s Bullet motorcycle and Ertiga car have been confiscated by the police. Police have received information that both the vehicles were purchased with stolen money. The police have already taken possession of Tinnu Yadav’s documents related to his firm, GST filing, bank and property related documents. However, no specific recovery has been made from Manish Yadav.
The accused are not getting VIP facilities in jail
Ayodhya District Jail Administration has denied the news published in newspapers and digital media regarding VIP treatment being given in jail to the accused detained in the donation theft case. District Jail Superintendent Mukesh Kumar made it clear on Sunday that a total of eight accused in this case are detained in the jail and they are not being provided any special facility.
Surveillance is being done through CCTV cameras
Jail Superintendent Mukesh Kumar issued a statement saying that the news regarding VIP treatment being given to the accused of offering theft is completely baseless. All the prisoners or accused are being treated as per the rules in the jail. No one has been provided any special facility beyond the rules.
The jail administration has formally denied such reports circulated in the media. All the eight accused have been kept in the high security barrack of the prison amid tight security arrangements. Their activities are being continuously monitored closely through CCTV cameras. All the prisoners are under the surveillance of cameras all the time, CCTV footage can be checked at any time if necessary.
