Delhi Police has made a big claim amid the protests by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar. Police have blocked 480 social media handles and exposed a big ‘Pakistan connection’. These accounts were systematically spreading fake news and misleading propaganda from Pakistan.
According to Delhi Police, Pakistani social media handle kashmalamurad wrote on social media that 7 students died in CJP protest. Similarly, a social media handle Fatima Zahra posted misleading information about CJP on social media. Apart from this, Haider Naqvi and South Era Network have also shared misleading information regarding Jantar Mantar Protest on social media. In a way, an attempt has been made to instigate protest. Delhi Police says that about 480 similar social media handles have been blocked. All these handles were operating from Pakistan.
Delhi Police’s appeal to the youth
Meanwhile, the police has appealed to the youth to trust only official sources. To maintain law and order, Delhi Police has closed mobile internet services till midnight within a radius of 1.5 kilometers of Jantar Mantar. Also, heavy police force has been deployed in and around Jantar Mantar. Other additional security forces have been deployed there.
Adamant on resignation of CJP chief Dharmendra Pradhan
At the same time, the CJP welcomed PM Modi’s announcement of creating a fast-track court for paper leak cases, but also said that the government should clarify its stand on the root causes of the leak and the issue of accountability. CJP Abhijit Deepke said in clear words that first of all Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. After this, a compensation of Rs 1 crore each should be given to the families of the children who committed suicide in the NEET paper leak case. Apart from this, the cases registered against the protesters should be dropped.
CJP delegation met Union Ministers
Earlier on Friday, a delegation of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) met Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. After the meeting, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka informed the media. Saurav Das said that the delegation strongly raised the issue of detention of youth by Delhi Police with the government.

He said, “We told the government that Delhi Police has been detaining a large number of young men and women since last night, throughout the day and even today. Those being detained include people returning home from Jantar Mantar, people going towards the protest site and even people delivering food to the protesters.”
Government assured CJP delegation
Saurav Das alleged that the police is selectively detaining youth and lawyers are also being mistreated. He said that such actions will further increase the lack of trust between the government and the youth. He told that the initial reaction of the government was that no such incident was happening. However, the government assured that if such incidents are happening, they will not be allowed to continue and necessary instructions will be issued to Delhi Police.
