Neither gave OTP, nor told PIN… 2.4 lakh rupees were stolen from the credit card of this Bollywood actress.

July 30, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Cyber thugs have become so vicious that anyone can become their victim. Leave aside the common man, now even big Bollywood stars are falling into their trap. Something similar has happened with actress Kirti Kulhari, who has worked in famous films like ‘Uri’, ‘Pink’ and ‘Four More Shots Please’. Rs 2.43 lakh was withdrawn from his credit card without sharing any PIN or information.

Message came while going to watch a movie

The matter is of the night of 24th July. Kirti Kulhari was going to watch a movie in a cinema hall in Andheri area of Mumbai. On the way, suddenly a message from the bank came on his mobile. She got upset after seeing the message, because it was written that a payment of $ 2,525 (about Rs 2.1 lakh) had been made to a Mexican airline named ‘AeroMexico’ from her credit card. Kirti immediately understood that some fraud had happened to her, because she had not made any such payment. Without any delay he immediately called the customer care of his bank.

When I saw the bank statement I came to know the truth.

When Kirti spoke to the bank officials and checked her complete statement, it was revealed that the loss was not just Rs 2.1 lakh. The fraudsters had deducted money from his card not once but four different times. Overall Rs 2.43 lakh had been withdrawn from his account. Sensing the danger, the bank immediately blocked his credit card, so that no more money could be deducted from the card.

How did such a big fraud happen without revealing the PIN?

The most surprising thing in this whole matter is how this fraud happened. Kirti clearly says that she did not give her card PIN or any other information to anyone. Police have registered an FIR against unknown people in this matter and now the help of cyber team is being taken. Police believe that instead of asking for card details directly, the fraudsters have taken the help of some technique. It is possible that their phone may have been hacked, or data may have been stolen through an online account. At present the police is investigating from every angle and checking the banking records.
