In areas and homes where people follow this tradition, on the day of Nag Panchami, instead of pan roti, puri, kheer, curd-rice, kachori, boiled dishes or satvik food are prepared. At many places, food is also prepared in earthen pots on this day. At many places, people prepare rotis a day before Nag Panchami. On this day, food traditions are different in different states.
