
Balram Krishi Mahotsav is being organized in all the districts of the state to celebrate the year 2026 as “Farmers Welfare Year” by the Madhya Pradesh government. In the same sequence, on the occasion of his 120th birth anniversary, Balram Krishi Mahotsav and Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad birth anniversary celebration will be organized on July 23 in the agricultural produce market in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar of Alirajpur district. CM Dr. Yadav will perform the bhoomi pujan of development works worth Rs 287.32 crore and will dedicate works worth Rs 53.55 crore.
State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in the program. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will reach Azad Kutiya, the birthplace of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar and pay his respects by garlanding his statue. After this, he will reach the main event venue Krishi Mandi and interact with the progressive farmers of the district in the Balram Krishi Mahotsav and discuss various topics related to innovation, modern technologies and agricultural development in the agriculture sector. Along with this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also communicate with influencers related to different areas from different districts of the division.
Honoring progressive farmers and meritorious students
In the programme, progressive farmers and meritorious students of the district who have done excellent work will be specially honoured. The objective of Balram Krishi Mahotsav is to provide farmers with information about the latest technologies of agriculture and agriculture related fields, advanced agricultural methods and public welfare schemes of the government. Along with this, benefits will be distributed to the beneficiaries of various departments. In Balram Krishi Mahotsav, attractive exhibitions will be organized by agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, cooperation, agricultural engineering and other related departments.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will give a big gift
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will give a big gift of development works to the district during his proposed stay in Alirajpur. He will perform Bhoomi Pujan of development works of various departments costing more than Rs 287.32 crore. These development works include road construction by the Public Works Department, construction of rural connectivity roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, new high school building of the Tribal Affairs Department, construction of barrage of the Water Resources Department, power sub-station of Madhya Pradesh West Region Electricity Distribution Company, renovation and new construction work of the Prime Minister’s College of Excellence and various construction works of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and other departments.

With the completion of these projects, road connectivity, education, irrigation, electricity infrastructure and rural development will get a new impetus in the district. Along with this, he will inaugurate various construction and infrastructure development works completed at a cost of approximately Rs 53.55 crore. The works to be inaugurated include the new 33/11 KV sub-station of the Electricity Department, school buildings of the Education Department, several Anganwadi buildings of the Women and Child Development Department, Atal Seva Kendra of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, culverts, stop dams, Nistar ponds, RMS, drains and paver blocks and other rural infrastructure related works.
