Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said in the ‘Motherhood for the Times’ program of Vishwamangalya Sabha organized in New Delhi that asking me to speak on the subject of motherhood is a contradiction in itself. In a way, women have a monopoly on this, it is not right for men to speak on this. He said that Indian tradition has been thinking about motherhood and family system for a long time. Thinkers like Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore have also presented their views before us on this subject.
Mohan Bhagwat said that the theme of the program has been ‘motherhood in keeping with the times’. The eternal things about motherhood are the same, they do not change according to the era. Because of those things, people who change the era are born. Since ancient times, creation has continued on the basis of motherhood. When every living being is born, motherhood comes into it, mother always exists.
Man’s greatest power is his thought
He said that creation, enrichment and nourishment of the universe is not possible without motherhood. The greatest power of a man is his thoughts, but only the mother does the work of giving him the right direction. Mother is the first teacher of man and she also remains the biggest center of emotional support throughout his life.
He said that giving time to the family and maintaining communication is the biggest need today. Parents will have to solve the curiosities of children, for which it is necessary to continuously increase their own knowledge. Children learn more by imitation than by preaching, so parents themselves should model ideal conduct.
confusion is deliberately spread
The Sangh chief said that many discussions in the society take place due to confusion and sometimes confusion is also spread deliberately. For a long time, misconceptions were spread about Indian culture that our traditions are wrong, whereas the reality is that our cultural base is very strong and direct. We should move forward with faith in our history, knowledge and traditions.
Basic message of Indian culture
He said that unity is the truth and unity amidst diversity is the basic message of Indian culture. While living in India, one should live life according to Indian culture and life values. The need of the hour is to strengthen the society and family system based on the Indian perspective instead of adopting the lifestyle of other countries without thinking.
Event organized at Ambedkar International Center
Let us tell you that the concluding session of the enlightenment meeting was organized at Ambedkar International Centre. The National Enlightenment Meeting of North India organized by Vishwamangalya Sabha, a global women’s organization working with the aim of nation building through motherhood, was held at the World Youth Center on 23rd July.
About 280 women from different states participated
About 280 women from different states participated in the two-day meeting. The main theme of the meeting was ‘Contemporary Motherhood’, on which there was extensive reflection and dialogue on the changing social environment, the Indian family system and the contemporary role of motherhood. More than 900 enlightened mothers working in various fields were present in the concluding session of the enlightenment meeting. About 2000 to 2500 women had registered in the program organized in the dialogue on the topic of ‘Egypt Motherhood’.
Convention organized in 23 states of the country
In the year 2026, Vishwamangalya Sabha organized conventions in 23 provinces of the country, in which about 37 thousand women participated. In these conventions, special discussions were held on the Indian family system, the changing role of motherhood and the development of values for the coming generations. Today Vishwamangalya Sabha is active in 33 provinces of India and is working in various fields of education, culture, social awareness and service by joining about 6 lakh Matrishakti organizations. Apart from India, the organization’s activities extend to 14 countries including America and Netherlands.
Foundation stone of building family, society and nation
Vishwamangalya Sabha believes that every woman is the embodiment of the power of motherhood, which is the foundation stone of building family, society and nation. The objective of the organization is to develop the sense of duty towards motherhood, cultural consciousness, moral values and leadership abilities among women, so that they can play an active role in building a strong, harmonious and self-confident India through building cultured generations.
Vishwamangalya Sabha was established on 19 February 2010 in Nagpur under the guidance of His Holiness Acharya Swami Jitendranath Ji Maharaj. He is the 18th Peethadhishwar of the more than 600 years old Shri Dutt Peeth tradition. The organization is carrying forward the campaign of nation building by organizing the mother power while working on the four-point principles of values, strength, morality and service.
