June 20, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Maharashtra Deputy CM and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde addressed party workers on the occasion of ‘Shiv Sena Foundation Day’. In this address, he reiterated his responsibility towards Marathi identity and the 60-year-old heritage of his party. He said that the party will always protect the interests of Marathi people. Pointing towards the upcoming political activities of the party in the public meeting, he said, “This is just a trailer, the picture is yet to come.” He said, ‘The tiger hunts alone.’

In several sharp political statements, the Shiv Sena chief compared the methods of his party with those of its rivals. He said that despite the criticism from the opponents, Shiv Sena will continue to move forward with confidence. Referring to attacks by political opponents, he said “some dogs are barking,” while the party remained focused on its goals.

Emphasis on welfare schemes

Shinde also mentioned the welfare initiatives of the state. He addressed the beneficiaries of schemes like ‘Ladki Bahin’ program and conveyed his message to the youth by mentioning ‘Ladka Bhau’. The Shiv Sena leader said that his government is committed to welfare and development work aimed at improving the lives of common citizens.

‘Those with Congress are also getting ruined’

He also attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that Congress had lost several consecutive elections under his leadership, but instead of changing the captain, Congress is contesting elections under his failed leadership. He said that those who were with Congress are also getting ruined and ruining their future. We have seen this in Tamil Nadu, what happened with its alliance partner DMK and the same happened with Shiv Sena UBT in Maharashtra. So, it is better to choose your friend.
