Big success for CBI-NIA, murder accused brought to India from Saudi Arabia

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) has succeeded in bringing back Muhammad Ali Kannir Palliyalil, an accused wanted in the case of murder and illegal activities, from Saudi Arabia to India. The accused was deported from Saudi Arabia to India on Thursday.

NIA According to the report, the accused was absconding in a case related to murder and illegal activities. Investigation has revealed that he conspired with his associates. After entering the shop, a person was fatally attacked, due to which he died.

Red notice issued with the help of Interpol

On the request of NIA for the arrest of the accused, CBI had issued a red notice against him through Interpol.

Later the location of the accused was revealed to be in Saudi Arabia, where the local authorities arrested him. After this, the process of bringing him back was started by the Government of India and after all the legal formalities were completed, the accused was deported to India.

Deported from UAE in case of financial fraud

On the other hand, in a separate operation, CBI along with MEA and MHA got red notice accused Avinash Arjun Rathod deported from UAE to India on July 23. Another official statement said that Rathod is wanted in a large-scale financial fraud case.

“In criminal conspiracy with others, the accused induced investors to invest in various schemes by falsely promising fixed monthly returns. The accused dishonestly misappropriated the funds and diverted the proceeds through various bank accounts and demat accounts,” the statement said.

It further said that a red notice was earlier issued against Rathod through Interpol channel. He reached Mumbai on 23 July and a team of Maharashtra Police took him into custody. A CBI spokesperson said, “In the last few years, more than 170 wanted criminals have been successfully brought back to India in coordination through INTERPOL channels.
