Bankipur by-election: BJP President Nitin Nabin takes charge, nomination of Tej Pratap’s party candidate canceled

Candidates of all parties have geared up for the by-election to be held in Bankipur, the seat of BJP national president Nitin Nabin. Even Nitin Nabin himself has reached Patna and taken charge of the election campaign. BJP President is continuously holding meetings of the mandals of his area and inaugurating the by-election office. BJP has made Neeraj Kumar Sinha its candidate from Bankipur. Seeking votes in his favor, Nitin Nabin said that just as the public has been supporting him, they will bless Neeraj Sinha in the same way.

BJP President said that Neeraj Kumar Sinha comes from a family whose members have been associated with the ideology of BJP since the time of Jan Sangh. He said that this family has been working for the organization for a long time. Appealing to the people of Bankipur, he said, ‘Just as you gave me your blessings and support for years, similarly give your blessings to my younger brother Neeraj Kumar Sinha. I have full confidence that the public will make him victorious. He also called a meeting of NDA at his residence and made an election strategy.

Nomination of Tej Pratap Yadav’s party candidate from Bankipur canceled

The nomination of JJD candidate Veena Manvi, the party of JJD candidate Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Yadav, has been canceled from Bankipur, after which Tej Pratap reached the Collectorate. After sitting here for hours, he said that he will go to court regarding this matter. Calling it a political conspiracy, he has announced to go to court. In fact, on the day of nomination itself, Tej Pratap Yadav’s party candidate Veena Manvi was arrested by the police in a 2009 fraud case. Although he later got bail from the court, but now his nomination has been cancelled.

Nominations of 13 other candidates canceled

However, Veena Manvi is not the only candidate whose nomination has been cancelled. Apart from him, nomination papers of 13 other candidates have also been canceled in the Bankipur Assembly by-election, which also includes the name of Priya Kinnar. Many candidates had not given the affidavit in the prescribed format and some had not submitted the required documents, due to which their nominations were cancelled.
