Yashasvi Jaiswal: Yashasvi Jaiswal has to play ‘left hand’ game, then the old weakness has sunk in.

November 30, 2025 by Uma Shankar

Yashasvi Jaiswal against South Africa, The weakness which troubled Yashasvi Jaiswal in the Test series against South Africa, now the same weakness has plagued him in the first match of the ODI series. Yashasvi Jaiswal once again failed in front of the left arm fast bowler. In the first ODI played in Ranchi, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 18 runs and the bowler who dismissed him was left-arm pacer Nandre Berger, who had a huge celebration after dismissing this player.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s weakness is left arm pacer.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Made an amazing start, he opened his account by hitting a four on the very first ball. This player also hit a brilliant six in the third over but he was out on the 16th ball of his innings. Nandre Berger’s outgoing ball took the edge of his bat and ended up in the gloves of wicketkeeper De Kock. After Jaiswal’s dismissal, once again the question arose whether this player could not understand left-arm bowlers. It seems so because the statistics also confirm this.

Left hand game to dismiss Jaiswal,

Dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal is becoming a left-handed game because three of the bowlers who have dismissed this player the most number of times in international cricket are left-handed pacers. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been dismissed maximum four times by Marco Janson. Nandre Berger has also dismissed this player four times. After this, Joffra Archer and Scott Boland have been out three times each.

Another left arm pacer Mitchell Starc has also shown Jaiswal the way to the pavilion thrice. It is clear that Jaiswal has problems against left-arm bowlers. Former captain Sunil Gavaskar also said this during the match. He said that Jaiswal’s feet are not moving forward due to which he is getting worried about the coming out ball of the left arm fast bowler. Now it remains to be seen when Jaiswal will convert this weakness into strength. Because if this does not happen then problems will arise for them.
