Peanut-Sesame Barfi
- First of all, roast the peanuts thoroughly on medium to low flame so that their rawness goes away and a nice roasted aroma starts emanating.
- It will take you at least 20 to 25 minutes to roast peanuts. While roasting the grains, you have to keep stirring them continuously with a ladle, otherwise the grains start burning.
- When the peanuts are roasted, take them out in a plate and then put them in a clean towel, make a bundle and mash it well.
- With this, the skin of the peanuts gets easily removed and the hands do not get burnt.
- After separating the peels from the peanuts, keep them in a plate so that they cool thoroughly.
- Now dry roast the sesame seeds and fry it till golden while stirring continuously on low flame so that a good aroma is obtained.

- Put roasted peanuts in a mixer and grind them so that they become powder.
- After grinding peanuts, sesame has to be ground and its powder also has to be made. Just keep one spoon sesame seeds aside for garnish.
- After making sesame and peanut powder, add one spoon of desi ghee in a thick bottomed pan and add jaggery in it.
- If you feel that the jaggery is burning then add one to one and a half teaspoon of water in it and then melt it well while stirring.
- When the jaggery melts, add sesame and peanut powder to it and also add two spoons of cream and turn off the gas.
- Quickly grease a plate with ghee and add the prepared sesame-jaggery and peanut mixture into it and spread it to the thickness of the barfi.
- Spread sesame and pistachio shavings over the barfi and then press gently with a ladle.
- Your barfi will be ready at room temperature in 15 to 20 minutes. Cut it into desired shapes with a knife, take it out and enjoy.
