After this announcement by Trump, going to America will become like a dream for these third world countries. Trump has said that he will permanently stop migration from all third world countries.

US President Donald Trump is planning to stop immigration from countries which he called third world countries. In his Truth Social post, Trump said that the country has made technological progress, yet he believes current immigration policies have undermined these advances. He said that immigration from all Third World countries should be stopped so that the American system can be completely recovered.

Biden’s criticism

Trump also said he wanted to overturn what he described as millions of Biden illegal admissions. In the same post, he said that he wants to remove from the country any person whom he considers not beneficial to America or incapable of loving our country.

Trump also said that any foreign national deemed a public burden, a security risk, or incompatible with Western civilization should be expelled from the country.

Which are third world countries?

The concept of First, Second and Third World countries started with the Cold War. When the world was divided into the American-backed Western Bloc and the communist Eastern Bloc, the remaining nations were grouped as the Third World. It is often used for poor or underdeveloped countries.

Historically, the First World meant democratic, industrialized nations that were aligned with the US. The Second World was the communist-socialist states, which were considered countries led by workers and farmers, and the Third World was the group of countries that did not belong to any bloc.

The First World included North America, Western Europe, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Some African territories were also included here. The Second World included the Soviet republics and Eastern Europe, such as Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia and the Balkan region, as well as Asian communist countries that were linked to China, such as Mongolia, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The Third World included all the remaining countries, which were underdeveloped agricultural states in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

What was said about green card?

The Trump administration has made a big announcement regarding the Green Card. The administration said on November 28 that it would review the immigration status of every permanent resident or green card holder from Afghanistan and 18 other countries.

Joseph Edlow, director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), wrote on Twitter: “At the direction of the President, I have ordered a thorough and rigorous review of every green card for every alien from every identified country.”

Which countries were affected?

When asked which countries Edlow was referring to, a USCIS spokesperson told AFP that the list was outlined in Trump’s June 2025 executive order. In which 19 countries have been identified as countries of concern. These countries include- This order stopped the entry of almost all citizens of 12 countries, which also includes Afghanistan.

The countries on which the complete travel ban was implemented are Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Additionally, Trump also imposed a partial ban on travelers from seven more countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
