On one hand people are troubled by pollution in Delhi and on the other hand there is political turmoil over it. Meanwhile, Delhi’s Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that if we look at the past figures in Delhi, the coming days are not going to be very good. The coming week will not be very good. We are working continuously. Yesterday we took some decisions. More decisions have been taken today. This is not today’s disease. This is a disease given by the old governments, on which we are working. He said that pollution occurs in Delhi due to four reasons, which are-
- pollution from vehicles
- pollution from dust
- pollution caused by solid waste
- industrial pollution
We are also going to make a carpooling app
Sirsa said, we have identified 62 hot spots on which we are working. Whereas there were only 13 in the Aam Aadmi Party government. Today we will hold a meeting with Google Map and Map India and seek their cooperation in reducing pollution. We are also going to make a carpooling app, so that the general public can benefit from it. The previous government gave us broken roads, which we are repairing. We are forming a team which will provide information about potholes on the roads, which will be filled within 72 hours.
He said, MCD has an important responsibility to work on pollution, for which a repair tender has been given for ten years. Sirsa made big allegations against Aam Aadmi Party. He said that Aam Aadmi Party is burning fires at many places to increase pollution in Delhi. In Trilokpuri assembly, Aam Aadmi Party councilor Vijay Kumar made a video by setting himself on fire.
