Tension between America and Venezuela is increasing. Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin said that America has given Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro the option to leave the country and go to Russia or some other place. His statement has come at a time when the fear of increasing US military action in this area is increasing.
According to the Miami Herald, US President Donald Trump, during a recent phone call, gave a clear ultimatum to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and told him, “You can save yourself and those closest to you, but you have to leave the country now.”
Mullin told CNN, “We gave Maduro the opportunity to leave. We said he could leave the country, go to Russia or go to another country.”
Direct message after four months of pressure campaign
Neither the US nor the Venezuelan government have provided further information about the topics discussed during the very strange talks, which are believed to have taken place on November 21. Venezuelan airspace completely closed!
Trump posted the strongest warning on Truth Social on Saturday, saying, “All airlines, pilots, drug dealers and human traffickers, please consider a complete closure of the airspace over and around Venezuela.”
Venezuela condemned this statement, calling it a colonial threat and calling it an illegal and wrongful attack, which violates its sovereignty and international law. Caracas has accused Washington of maintaining a permanent policy of attacks against the country.
