Nowadays such scenes are rarely seen in Indian politics where the government and the opposition are sitting together and sipping tea. By the way, there is a pollution emergency going on in suffocating Delhi. There is a health emergency situation. There was to be a 4-hour discussion on this in the Lok Sabha tomorrow, but due to other reasons and the uproar by the honorable people, this discussion died before it could start.
Happy ending of winter session
Maybe this issue is not that serious for them. However, this morning the winter session definitely had a happy ending with a discussion over tea. Those who were creating an atmosphere against each other from the House to the streets were seen sitting together in the Parliament and enjoying sipping tea.
After the end of the Parliament session, the Speaker held a tea party. Leaders of many political parties including PM Modi participated in it. Two types of pictures from this tea party caught everyone’s attention. In the first picture, the speaker was sitting on the sofa with PM Modi, while Rajnath Singh was sitting on the second chair and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju was sitting next to him.
Priyanka remained present on the side of Congress
After some time, the faces in the photo of the same room changed. The speaker was sitting on the sofa with PM Modi, Rajnath Singh was also on the other chair, but now Priyanka Gandhi was sitting next to him on Kiren Rijiju’s chair. Priyanka represented Congress as opposition leader Rahul Gandhi was abroad. It is visible in the pictures and videos that the atmosphere at the tea party of the leaders was quite pleasant.
During this, there was a cordial and warm discussion between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Priyanka Gandhi. Sources say that Priyanka also mentioned some issues related to her parliamentary constituency Wayanad. Apart from this, she said that she eats a herb from Wayanad, due to which she is not allergic. During this, PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh kept smiling softly.
Priyanka asked about PM’s foreign tour
Priyanka asked about PM Modi’s recent foreign trip and how it was. On which Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the journey was very good. In the tea party that lasted for about twenty minutes, the members put forward the demand of a dedicated hall in the new Parliament building before the PM. Many members also said that the session was very short. On this the Prime Minister said in a joking tone that he did not want to put too much pressure on his neck.
Lok Sabha Speaker’s tea party is a tradition. After the conclusion of every session, the Speaker meets the floor leaders of all the parties. This effort is made with the aim of creating harmony and lightness in the tense atmosphere during the session. Last time the opposition had boycotted the Tea Party.
