
India’s Tourism Ministry on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OTT platform Netflix. Partnership with Netflix is being considered a big step in taking India’s tourist destinations to a new global platform. Let us tell you that Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat replied in the Lok Sabha that under this MoU, India’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and heritage sites will be promoted on Netflix.
In fact, the Ministry of Tourism has entered into a non-commercial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Netflix Entertainment Services India to promote the country’s tourist destinations globally through cinematic storytelling. With this agreement, the government hopes that India’s tourist destinations will get more recognition across the world and the number of foreign tourists will also increase.

What did the Tourism Minister say in Lok Sabha
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat gave information about the agreement (MoU) with Netflix in response to a question asked in the Lok Sabha. He said that the Ministry of Tourism has signed an MoU with Netflix Entertainment Services India LLP, the objective of which is to promote Indian tourist destinations globally through cinematic storytelling.
