
The Election Commission has extended the deadline for Special Incentive Revision or SIR. Now people will be able to submit SIR form till 11th December. Earlier its deadline was till December 4. It is being said that this decision has been taken in view of the pressure on BLOs. Actually, the process of SIR is going on in 10 states and two union territories of the country. The work is going on at full speed.
According to the latest data of the Election Commission, more than 99 percent work has been done in 12 states and union territories, i.e. 99.65% enumeration forms have been distributed. Of these, 84.30% forms have been digitized. 100 percent work has been completed in Lakshadweep. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh only 69.56 percent work has been done.

Whereas, if we talk about West Bengal, 95.24 percent work has been completed here. According to Election Commission officials, work on SIR is being completed rapidly and the target of 100% digitization will be achieved in the next 24-48 hours. All digitized forms will soon be made available to the public on the Commission’s website.

Let us tell you that the draft list of the second phase of SIR will be published on 16 December 2025. The final list will be published on 14 February 2026. At the same time, the date for filing claims and objections is from 16 December 2025 to 15 January 2026.
