The stir has once again intensified in the politics of Bihar. Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday made a big claim that many MLAs of the opposition Grand Alliance are in touch with the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). At the same time, Congress has hit back at Chirag Paswan on this statement.
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chief Chirag Paswan has given this comment in response to a question from journalists. In which he was asked about the rumors that at least four MLAs of the Congress, which won only six seats in the recently held assembly elections, are in touch with the JD(U) led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. On this, without directly naming any party, Chirag said, “I cannot say about any particular party, but many opposition MLAs are in touch with the NDA. They feel that under the leadership of PM Modi, they can serve the public in a better way.”
People’s disillusionment towards the opposition is increasing
Taking aim at the opposition, Chirag Paswan said that people are losing confidence in the opposition because it does not do anything constructive nor does it allow the government to work. He said, “This is seen in every session of Parliament. The session starting from December 1 will also be no different from this. The session of the State Assembly is also about to begin. Here too the opposition will not desist from creating ruckus.”
Congress denied the claim
Congress rejected Chirag Paswan’s claim outright. State Congress President Rajesh Ram said, “Whenever elections are held, similar things start flying. In 2020 too, rumors were spread, but all our 19 MLAs stood firmly with the party.” In the recently held assembly elections, NDA retained power by winning 202 out of 243 seats. Whereas the Congress led grand alliance had to face a crushing defeat.
