There is an uproar over Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former PM of Pakistan. His party workers are continuously protesting on Pakistani streets. Now Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s statement has come on Imran Khan. He has tried to corner Pakistan through gestures and has also raised questions.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said, “I think it is not right for us to comment on the internal affairs of another country. But it is definitely a matter of some concern that there is so much silence on this matter. Many people are claiming that worse has happened, but the Pakistan government and officials have not said anything. This silence is bad. You saw the message from his son, in which it was said that he wants proof of his father being alive. Obviously, no one has yet provided this proof. It is a matter of concern that his father is alive.
Can’t make you disappear by putting you in jail
MP Shashi Tharoor said, ‘I am only speaking as an ordinary citizen of India, this is not a matter of foreign policy for us. This is an internal matter of Pakistan, but a person is at stake. There are cricket fans and other people who would like to know what happened to that man. You cannot make someone disappear by putting him in jail. Therefore, if something has happened, then according to me the authority should clarify this. If the authority is not giving clarification then it is natural for questions to be raised on them.
Political storm in Pakistan after Afghanistan’s claim
In fact, there was a sudden political storm in Pakistan on Wednesday evening, when a claim surfaced on social media that former Prime Minister Imran Khan, lodged in Adiala jail, has died mysteriously. This claim was made by an X account named Afghanistan Times. Within no time, the rumor of Imran’s death spread so fast that thousands of supporters gathered outside the jail and the politics of Pakistan came to a boil. However, till now the Pakistan government has declared Imran Khan safe. But the question of Imran’s family members is that if everything is fine then why are they not being allowed to meet Imran Khan.
