The house where Donald Trump spent his childhood is now being auctioned, know the price

November 30, 2025 by Uma Shankar

The childhood home of US President Donald Trump, which is in Queens, New York, is once again ready for sale. Once again house prices are being decided in the market. Its price has been kept at 2.3 million dollars, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 2 crore 5 lakh 52 thousand. According to the New York Times, this house has been completely repaired and decorated.

This house is built in Tudor-style. Trump’s father, real-estate developer Fred Trump, had it built in 1940. This house is in a posh settlement named Jamaica Estates. Trump lived here until he was 4 years old, then his family shifted to a large brick house built nearby.

The auction was held in March

In March, real-estate developer Tommy Lynn bought it for $8.35 lakh. As soon as he bought it, he started completely renovating the house from top to bottom and spent about 5 lakh dollars. According to Lynn, when they bought the house, it was unlivable—there were major water and electricity problems, and a lot of mold had accumulated in the house due to burst pipes.

Before Lynn bought it, the house was owned by Michael Davis, a private equity partner in Manhattan. He bought it for $1.39 million and also got some renovation work done.

It had become a home for wild cats.

Over the years, this house had fallen into disrepair several times and was also used in some strange ways. There was a time when it became a home for wild cats. Davis also tried renting it out on Airbnb, but that effort ended when Oxfam America held a publicity event here during the United Nations General Assembly to highlight the global refugee crisis.

How big is the house?

After a complete renovation, the house now comes with five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two powder rooms, a finished basement and a detached two-car garage. The home also has modern updates like herringbone wood floors and a high-end kitchen. This approximately 2,500 square feet house has now attracted the attention of both Trump supporters and political opponents.

Trump himself has talked about this house many times. In 2016, while talking to Jimmy Fallon, he had said that the poor condition of the house was sad, but also told that he was born here and he has very good childhood memories. Earlier, the Independent had reported that President Donald Trump’s childhood home in New York has been put up for sale.
