Tere Ishk Mein Review In Hindi: With the film ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, director Aanand L Rai has once again stepped on the difficult path of love. After giving a classic like ‘Raanjhanaa’, his last three films – ‘Zero’, ‘Atrangi Re’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ did not do much at the box office. Obviously, this time Rai Saheb has laid out the chessboard very carefully.
‘In love with you’ Talking about it, the film is not a typical love story. This is a fast-paced and intriguing love story of passion, revenge, and emotional turmoil. This time Aanand L Rai has added a strong touch of emotion and drama along with spice to the story. But has this ‘passion’ of Dhanush and ‘love of strange experiments’ of Kriti together set the fire of ‘Raanjhanaa’ on the screen? Or does this complicated love story leave us in the middle? To know, read the full review.
Story
The story of ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ revolves around Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon). Mukti is an educated girl, her father is an IAS officer. She is a research scholar in the college, the topic of the thesis she is working on is how violence can be permanently driven out from within an aggressive person. He is looking for a ‘test case’ for this thesis and then he finds Shankar. If you look at Shankar, the President of Delhi University Students Union, he is an angry person who is an unemployed hooligan. Mukti makes him her test case. But, Shankar falls in love with Mukti. Now to know what storm this love brings in the lives of both, you will have to watch the entire film in the theatre.
Know how the film is?
The beginning of the film is fantastic. The chemistry of Shankar and Mukti looks like fresh love. Those light moments, that nostalgic feeling… it feels as if you yourself are sipping tea with them. Remember that scene in the trailer, when Shankar slapped himself hard with Mukti’s hand? Yes! That scene is one of the powerful moments of the film, which keeps you tied to your chair. But, as the story progresses, the matter also changes. Instead of a love story, the fire of passion is visible. When Shankar sets out to destroy himself, Aanand L Rai Sahab explodes on the screen. Love, betrayal, and revenge – all these together create such a painful maze, but the viewer sometimes gets lost in this maze. There is nothing like ‘Raanjhanaa’ in this film except the concept of one-sided love. Writers Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav along with Aanand L Rai have presented a good film before us.
Direction, music and technical aspects
Like always, Aanand L Rai has made a good film this time too. He knows very well how to use a powerful actor like Dhanush. The camera work (cinematography) is amazing, be it romance or tragedy, every scene has been shown beautifully through the camera. AR Rahman is the life of this film. The title tune goes straight to the heart and follows you home. Although the rest of the songs are not particularly memorable, the background score supports the emotions a lot.
We have been filled with praises, now it is the turn of complaints. Aanand L Rai’s narrative this time is not straight but very crooked. The biggest problem is in editing. Some scenes have been unnecessarily prolonged, which breaks the flow of the story.
acting
To put it in Shankar’s language, Dhanush has set this film on fire through his character! Love, anger, pain, revenge… he expresses all these emotions with complete honesty through his eyes. You also feel pain after seeing their emotional torture. He wins the hearts with his powerful performance. Kriti has given a tough competition to Dhanush. My character, the body language required for it, everything is absolutely perfect.
The work of experienced actors like Prakash Raj is solid, but it seems that some characters did not get a chance to be written completely, they are incomplete and late and yes, the priest character of Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, who jokes on the name ‘Mukti’ and chants ‘Har Har Mahadev’, that scene seems funny but a bit strange. A lot could have been done with actors like Zeeshan.
see or not
You can watch this film for the amazing chemistry of Dhanush and Kriti. There is no routine masala in this film. This story makes you think whether love really has that much power. If you are bored of the routine Bollywood movies, then this is a different offering. But if you don’t like complicated love stories then you can skip this film. The film is longer than necessary and becomes dull at times, which can lead to boredom. The film does not give concrete answers to many questions and hence feels a bit incomplete.
How different is this film from Raanjhanaa?
Look brother, ,Raanjhana’ So it was a very incomplete but simple love story. Kundan’s love was absolutely innocent, a matter of the heart, which went straight to the heart. She was just a one-sided lover, who had depth of emotions. But ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is a bit complicated. Here too there is one-sided love, but in the beginning it is not a matter of love, but a science experiment! Shankar’s love is not just love, but the fire of passion. This time Aanand L Rai has not kept the story straight but has twisted it a lot, in which there is more revenge and mind games. If Raanjhanaa was a simple love, then ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is a complicated love.
Overall, ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is a strong romantic drama with depth of passion. Seeing this you will not be able to sit quietly, but will argue with your friends. Look at it, think about it and yes… maybe even get burnt a little in this fire of love!
